Over the past year, the children and communities of Haiti have faced overwhelming challenges, ranging from the devastating earthquake that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, to a cholera outbreak, to floods and other disasters.
Since the earthquake struck, UNICEF has been mobilising resources to protect the rights of children, working with partners to provide life saving assistance – for example, giving 680,000 people access to safe water.
But everyday life continues to be unsettled for many of those who survived, and the recent outbreak of cholera is making the situation worse.
